I sent a birthday greeting to the folks at Edward Weston's site the other day on what would have been his birthday. Just now I got a reply back from his grand daughter, Cara Weston, who is a great black and white photographer in her own right (check out her galleries). And her vegetable and still life images, like Shell Detail above, are very reminiscent of Edward's work. Has to be in her genes. :)

Even if she is the web-site director, I thought it was really cool the family could take the time to do that for fans.
