Winterized Equipment

A grey overcast mid winter day sometimes calls for shooting with a moody high contrast black and white style in mind.

These images are of 1960s era Timberland and Ellicott water control gate lifting equipment on top of a small dam.

Mike, thanks for visiting my blog.

These are nice shots of machinery.

You've captured the industrialized feel of these machines. I almost feel like pictures like these take us back in time. Lovely!

If I can also be a bit irreverent, I hear the City of London may want to borrow some of this equipment for the Springbank Dam :)

Thanks Carmi. I think that London wouldn't know what to do with 'em. Much like the ones on the current Springbank Dam. :)
