Jennifer
I have not had at the same time both the opportunity and the means to photograph people too much in the past six to eight months. There were a couple of exceptions of course, such as Nadine in the depths of winter, but this weekend I was able to go and see Jen and photograph her with her family.
She is pretty much due early next month - and with babies you never know, so I was glad I was able to see Jen and shoot some photos before she had her baby. We spent a bit of time doing photos, and I had a great dinner before I headed out again. There were quite a few really nice family photos of Jen, Mike and the kids, but this was the first image I sent her: I wanted her to have at least one belly photo before she had the baby - just in case. :)

Oil's well that doesn't end well.
So, last weekend after hanging out with a friend I was heading back and saw these neatly stacked Quaker State 5w30 oil containers and a vehicle battery by a curb in an area cleared for a new subdivision or something. Nice of the construction dudes to so conveniently leave them out in the open when there is no hope of a garbage pick up for months.

The Fallen
It may not do the job of a fence anymore, but the jumble of angles, the lack of uniformity, and the sense of abandon and decay does make for a better image.

Like the hand of a giant
I saw the remains of this tree which had been cut down very recently - presumably due to it being rotted out. From the road, it looked like a statue of a giant hand with the fingers broken off.
Looking closer at the stump, it was interesting that a splintered skyline had remained and someone had placed a curved section of bark on it link an airplane hangar.
